SEQUENCE & TIME

This studio option looks at the construction of the time-based, and event-based, image. It analyses the historic role and contemporary evolution of narratives in (visual) culture and encourages image making that considers sequence and time.

Closer to documentary film or image making, this would be of interest to those of you who use moving image to raise awareness of topics to society or a more focussed audience. But also, graphic novel and story boarding for animation, as a platform for communication.

Studio 2: IDENTITIES & PLACE

This studio focuses on identity and social engagement. It recognises the role of image making in making meaning in and of the world. It encourages the development of a visual practice that negotiates social relationships and engages widely with different aspects of culture and society.

For this studio you may be interested in working with museums to create educational resources for all ages, or within established communities or organisations such as councils or charities, to apply your design or communication skills.
